Sage is an antiseptic, spasmolytic. It is used for mouth and throat rinsing, in case of gingivitis, stomatitis, intestinal system inflammation and diarrhea. It contains pilocarpine, which has an effect upon elimination of liquids, thereby reducing night perspiration in case of tuberculosis and psychosomatic disorders
